Shut Up

U.S. Rep. Brian Baird needs to resign. When a politician such as he begins to call the very people who voted him into office, who happen to disagree with President Obama’s health care agenda, brown shirts, code for Nazi’s, and Timothy McVeigh types, code for far right loons, then its time for him to go.

Brian Baird has lost his perspective. His moral compass has been broken. Instead of listening to his constituency he has chosen to ridicule them in an attempt to marginalize our opposition to Obama’s health care agenda by literally phoning it in. Brain Baird no longer deserves our support or our votes. By having a phone call meeting instead of holding a town hall meeting, Baird has just told us all to shut up.

The liberal shut up argument has taken on a whole new dimension of aggressiveness since Obama’s election. ‘Shut up’ has become the primary rational behind the liberal agenda when dealing with anyone who disagrees with their plan for America. In recent months we have heard the liberal shut up argument used against ordinary citizens, talk radio hosts, tea party participants, and many others who do not support Obama’s far left policies. Barrack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reed would like to explain to those freethinking, common sense employing, individuals here in America who don’t agree with them, to shut up.

Shut Up has become a nasty reality of our society because the liberals have worked so very hard to make it into a custom through politically correctness and marginalization of what was once considered the norm; common sense. We stood by and watched as politically correctness became code for ‘shut up’ in our schools, our universities, our entertainment, the political arena, and even now in our news media. We have all seen how the mainstream media has become so corrupted by this shut up philosophy through their attacks upon all things conservative. How they vilify, insult, ridicule, distort, and exclude anyone who dares to speak out against the liberal agenda. It’s all part of their methodology of intimidation, get the message and shut up.

The left wing liberals have been using this shut up tactic for decades now. If you tried to talk about how being lenient on crime would result in our cities becoming heavens for criminals, you were labeled a hater. Shut up. If you pointed out that government was growing to fast and politicians were gaining too much power, you were called a fear monger. Shut up. If you disagreed with the leftist leaning policies and embraced conservatism you were a fascist. Shut up. When you would bring up how welfare reform, gang violence, and urban crime have decimated our cities, you were called a racist. Shut up. If you stated that you were for the traditional meaning of marriage, you were labeled a homophobe and called vile names all part of being told to shut up. All these labels, and many more, are the lefts way of saying to you, shut up.

Many of our elected officials in Congress are now going out of their way to call people who dare stand up and ask the tough questions about health care and other Obama policies angry mobs of far right wing zealots who have been bought and paid for by the GOP. In other words, shut up. I can remember, not so long ago, when voicing your opinion was considered to be patriotic. But now, since it is conservatives who are voicing their opinions, it is no longer patriotic, its dissent and criminal. Shut Up! In fact the White House wants to know all about these “fishy” people who are not supporting Obama’s policies so they too can tell them to shut up.

The liberals and their shut up argument are on the march in their all out war against common sense, conservatism, morality, and the American way of life. Take for instance Brain Baird’s comments recently where he called his constituency “extremists” and compared them to brown shits and Timothy McVeigh. A constituency that elected him into office to represent our interests, not stand by and phone it in when it comes to a town hall meeting because he is afraid to be “ambushed” by people, his people, us, who don’t support Obama’s health care plans.

Keep in mind that the liberals who are ridiculing, insulting, and inventing lies about the town hall participants who voice their concerns about what it is Congress is doing are doing so not because these people are speaking falsely, but because; shut up.

Brain Baird has clearly demonstrated where his loyalties lay, and that isn’t with the people who voted him into office. Its time we the people speak with our votes and vote this man out of office.
