Abortion is Murder
Murder is illegal with legal exceptions. The same thing should be the standard for abortions. Illegal with legal exceptions. When liberals fight for abortion, what they are doing is fighting for murder without legal exception.
In life sometimes one is forced to kill in order to survive. In cases of self defense murder is perfectly legal so long as it meets a legal standard. The same thing should be applied to abortions.
The need for abortions within a society is present, but currently there is no presumable protection for the unborn child. The unborn child is just consider, by many supporters of unrestricted abortion, to be nothing more than a mass of tissue. I put to you that an unborn child is not a mass of tissue and if any of us are asked today if we, as a person, would have preferred that our mothers abort our lives prior to our births, we'd pretty much unanimously say no. Ergo, what do you think that unborn child would say if they could speak?
There lays the problem, that child cannot speak therefore, according to the left, it has no right to life. I disagree with that assertion and would advocate that any child, unborn or not, has a right to life and we as the living have a duty, a responsibility, to speak for those children, born or not.
Abortion, like murder, should be illegal say for legal exceptions. The need of the mother should always be taken into account and no mother, no women, should be held to a standard of morality that would force her to give birth to a child conceived through rape or sexual assault if she choose not too. If the child has life affecting defects that would reduce his/her's quality of life then the mother has a tough decision to make and we should support her throughout this time and back whatever decision she makes.
In conclusion all that I am saying is that we do not allow murder within our society say for legal exceptions, and without a doubt, abortions are murder and therefore should be held to the same standard.
